Unicorn shaker card

Hello all,

Here is a quick post from me. Its a fun Unicorn shaker card. I actually wanted to do a slider card, but a shaker card was easier to finish for me. So do expect a slider card very soon.

Also Unicorns are my daughter's all time favourite. She is quite a reader and recently she has taken an immense liking to Linda Chapman's Unicorn School. So this card is for my lil darling girl.

Have a look at my unicorn,

The stamp set is from Avery elle 'Be a unicorn'. The images are gold embossed on watercolour paper and coloured with Distress inks.

I have used my new Pumice stone Distress inks for the frame and the sentiment. The sentiment is from Peekaboo designs. Below is a close of the unicorn. I have tried watercolouring with multicolours on the unicorn mane and tail.

Filled the shaker with silver sequins and red stars. Dont ask about this combo... jus went with my crafty gut feeling.

Thanks a lot for dropping by.
Bye bye guys
Bye Feb.

Linen Florals

Hello friends,

Here is another card today. I am so stuck to Distress inks and stamps. I hardly ever reach my pattern papers these days. Loving the change. Have a look at my card first,

Gold embossed flowers

This stamp set is from Mudra "Linen blooms", Beautiful set it is.
I have always wanted to make a bg like this, with washi tapes. And finally got the perfect focal point for such a card.

Close up of the Linen blooms

I stamped the flowers in watercolour sheet and heat embossed them in gold. Used DI to colour my flowers. Then fussy cut them and arranged in a bunch.

For the background, i have used Papericious ivory cardstock. I aligned the washi tapes in equal distance and sponged Pumice stone DI and a gradient pattern. Used peekaboo stitched rectangle die here.
washi tape mask background

Wanting to add more interest i added a frame die cut from spellbinders behind my bunch and it looked good. Tried few sequins but i wasnt satisfied and finally went with these black square stones.

I couldnt stop from posting so many pics, Anyway thanks for dropping by, hope you liked it.

Castle Christmas Card

Hello there!!

Today i have another Castle card for you, this time i tried it on the festive Christmas theme. Christmas means snow. So i have this sparkling card today,

It is a very simple card. I first inked the night sky with dusty concord and faded jeans DI. Then i hand cut the "snow mountains" and inked the edges lightly before mounting on the card front. Then i stamped the castle image with versamark and heat embossed it with sparkling white powder. I also drew some snow fall with Ranger emboss it pen and heat embossed it again. Also some snow on the ground. Finally put it all together and mounted it on the card base and stamped the sentiment finally.

Here is a closer look,

hope you liked my card. Looking forward to posting more xmas cards soon.
Have a crafty weekend

You rule my World!

Hi all,

so happy to share a dear card of mine. I loved making it. Here is the card

Yeah, the castle stamp- its gorgeous and am loving it. Its been sleeping too long and am glad it has finally seen the light of the day. And also TH honey comb is my fav now, love it.

For the card, first i went about and stencilled the pattern with yellow, orange & red DI. Then stamped the image on a separate watercolour sheet and heat embossed it in gold before fussy cutting it.

I wanted to add more interest to the card and hence splashed some black ink with a brush and added sequins to the bg. And now before adhering the castle, added some silver twine behind it for more added interest

Close up of the bg

The sentiment is from Peekaboo and i loved the mix up possibilities in this set. The sentiment is Heat embossed in black on vellum. May be i should try another card without the vellum and stamping the sentiment directly on the bg. what do u say gals??

Neon Butterflies!!!

Hi crafty peeps,

Ok first things first!!!
yaay I am the winner in Mudra #1-Anythings goes. So very happy about this. This win comes after a long time and also on my first try @ stamping. yaaay

I am back after another big break. Last weekend i made quiet a few cards, yeah only cards. Since i started stamping, i am hooked to it. Usually i prefer Fun fold cards but boy! Stamping is much more interesting than that.

Ok before the new cards, id like to post about a small card i did some time back.

Neon Notecards

Neon Butterflies

You are amazing

I did a bunch of them for Teachers' day and my kids loved it. The butterfly is stamped and fussy cut (stamp set from cat's meow) with Hero Arts Neon cubes. The sentiment is Heat embossed.

This is a pretty small card, more like a note card. I also did a bigger version and u can check it out here

Thats it for today. Waiting to post more cards using stamping. Thanks for dropping by folks. Feels good to be back.

cya,

Mini Note Cards

Hello again...

Its my turn to post some mini cards. I was awestruck by the mini cards all u people posted, like how could they work on such a small space. Kept thinking & thinking, thats y mine took a long time to post.
I did 3 minis, the common in all is that i used Distress Inks...

For the first one, the back ground is done with DI and splashing water(with toothbrush). Loved the water wash effect and bright co;our. Added some burlap and twine for interest.

I loved making this one, i had this black hearts vellum (DCWV) and wanted to put it to use. I have coloured the lil hearts with DI using an earbud. Actually was inspired by a tute on IBS (colouring on vellum using Q tip). Also i have used paper piercing here. See the glittery hearts? I have paper pierced thos. Took a long time.

For this i stamped the small flowers first with Versamark and directly applied DI(peeled paint). I dint heat emboss it, it is jus that i was trying out few diff things and seeing the result. Added some sequins & rik rak.

Hope u liked it, do tell me ur views friends. Hav a great sunday. bye bye

Last moments..

hi guys

Finally back to my blog after a long time. Since i started taking orders, many requests for Explosion boxes, so here to share one of those for few challenges

The colours specified were purple n white, so thats wat i started with. Love making rosettes, very easy to do with a scoring board. Love the Ric Rak too

Instead of putting layers i decided to do it differently this time, was happy with the effort. In the centre is a gift box wer the gift will be placed. Topped the box with spiral roses. Below is another view of the box

Now here is my first humble take on heat embossing. Do tell ur views crafters.

Started off with a white CS, Stamped Hero arts background script stamp with versamark and clear embossed it with my new heat tool.
Distressed with faded jeans n vintage photo.
Now for the colouring part, stamped Hero arts wood mounted daisy with mustard seed DI and coloured it with Faber Castell Bi Colour pencils.
Arranged the flower along with twine n satin ribbons.
Stamped the sentiment with versafine

PS. Thanks Priya for the quick delivery of items. Love the service

Quilled tags

Hello dear friends

Here are some tags i made, it was more like trial and practise.

This orange one is self embossed sheet, n i have laid it with golden net n used some pearls.

This pink here is a handmade sheet, nothing fancy here except the quilled flower n lace

I loved this one a lot, the sheet is self embossed, used washi tape for the sentiment, it looks lot better IRL

Jus a bird n a voice bubble

This yellow here i have used stamping, made the BG with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (green fields) n added a quilled flower

Finally the blue one, used distressing tn stamping to make the BG, it was a white CS, distresed with faded jeans, stamped the flower with soft pool (blue), added quilled flower, lace, pearl n bling.

This last one it is for the challenge @ For the love of crafting - Make a tag

hav a great weekend all

Butterflies !!!

 Hello crafters

Hope u r all having a great weekend. I hav made a CAS card after a long time, but tried out new techniques (new to me). Hav a look, then ull know

Tried stamping with Hero Arts Shadow inks (thanks a lot Vithya for the RAK), isnt the background gorgeous. Used the green fields ink. The PP is from Vintage blend stack (DCVW). I distressed it with vintage photo, stamped the butterflies randomly with green ink, the happy birthday sentiment with soft pool (blue) and then distredded again. (i literally turned the green PP into brown :0

And now the gorgeous butterfly in the focus...... i stamped it separately, coloured it with water colours n applied camel sparkle with my finger to give a uniform light coat. Loved the result, then i fussy cut it. Here is the close-up. The glitters have caught the sunlight. Added some bakers' twine & dats it.

Also i dressed up the inside of the card too. Stamped the butterflies randomly. This card is for my sister, she love green, but in my process i turned the card brown based, but the focal point (butterfly) is still green.

Thanks for stopping by...

My first Stamping !!

Hi everybody....

Here is my first attempt at stamping. This is the advantage of challenges, it makes u try out new techniques. The contest at Lulupu kept me itching to try out the stamp set i have been having for a long time now.

This is the only stamp set (other than sentiments) i have got, so no second thoughts there, but using it efficiently..... that kept me thinking. After some deliberation, here are the cards that i was satisfied with,

{Sorry for the bad pic}.... For this i have used the first stamp, stamped it out in orange n red and i have fussy cut it and made flowers out of it. Added some bling to the centre, The sentiment is hand written.

Now here is my second card,

For the second card, i have used the second stamp. First i created a continuous pattern out of it, then drew the checks, made an Argyle pattern (inspired by BGC # 33) and formed this tile layout. Again the sentiment here is hand written. Kept both cards neat n simple, i love it dat way.

Hope u liked both the cards today, pls do give me ur feedback, this is my first attempt @ stamping, dint know the rules, jus tried it out.
