Easy Spider-man theme Birthday invites

Hello all,

Wish you all a happy & love filled February. Am gonna start this month by posting an old project. It was for my son's 3rd birthday and now he is nearly 5.
Here is the card

It is basically a printed card. But i just wanted it to have a handmade touch. So i printed out some spiderman masks and cut it. Then added some twine and poped the spiderman mask with foam dots. Simple, easy & handmade. I have another invite based on the same model but for a little girl. You can check out the card here.

For the envelope, which is from my local stationery shop, i customised it by added two strips of matching washi tapes. Glad my hoarded washis came in use.

Below is the handmade backdrop i made. It added to my son's joys. Simple & customised.

Ok thats it for today. Thanks for dropping by.

Frozen themed Birthday Invites!!

Hello lovely ladies...

With my lil guy's birthday approaching, i realised that i haven't yet posted my daughter's last year bday invite. It was a Frozen themed birthday party and loads of handmade items we had. Today ill first post the invites i made.

I made quite a handful of different models. Every card is a shaker card though. I had saved this gorgeous snowflake pp and it was perfect for these invites. The shaker part was the tedious one but still enjoyed every bit.

For the shaker fillings, i used very small beads, blue and silver of course. And the snowflakes are die cut. I won these dies once from Itsy Bitsy.

This 4th model is the first one i actually made, I wanted to create something like a scene, which dint turn out like i imagined ;)

Thanks for dropping by, do share ur comments. In the next post ill share other stuff i made for the bday party.
Have a great week ahead.

1st bday Invites

Hello all

Happy to post again, hoping to make it a habit again. So today are some 1st bday invites made to order recently. Here are the pics first

Its a pretty simple and easy to do one. But i liked the concept a lot. The number '1' is handcut. I dint have a die for numbers so i cut it by hand and glittered it myself. It is quiet easy to glitter with local glitters. Fevicol in one plate and glitter on another plate. Actually i dint have time to buy glittered sheets, it was a last minute one, so i went in for handcut and self glittered 1s. Though this saves you a lot.

First rounded and distressed the edges, then the golden thread was tied three times around the card and arranged neatly, then stuck the '1' on top of it.

I liked this concept a lot that i tried it for my son's bday too, with spiderman theme. Coming soon in the next post. Hope you liked it today. Thanks for dropping by.

Car themed Invite-Pop up Slider card

Hello sweet friends

Here is an old project to share. I made this nearly an year back for my sister's son 2nd bday. He is going to be 3 soon. It is a pop up card. All the elements are hand cut.

The black and white checks are stamped repeatedly to give this look. Just loved the matching ribbon. My cousin got me this and i had been hoarding it for a long time.

Card lying flat

The little puffs of smoke are also handcut. All in all its an interactive CAS card ;) I soo wanted to add the traffic lights on the left upper corner. But due to time constraint it cudnt be done :(

The pop up

I also made a name banner in the car shape. The name reads "Hridhay". Further for his bday i made a car shaped wish book which i had already blogged, here is the link to it. This wish book is one of my all time fave.

Kids' Bday Party Ensemble

Hi there crafters.....

its a pic heavy post today, yesterday we celebrated my daughter's 3rd bday n here is the crafty party ensemble i made for the celebration. The theme this time was 'Hello Kitty'

Front View

Top view

These are the items u see here, a gift bag, favour box, a cake centre piece and the bday invite....

I took the basic layout for the invite from a design i saw on the net and altered it according to requirements. The Hello Kitty head is a print out n i fussy cut it.

This i made for the children attending the party as a return gift bag, simple n with the theme colours

This lil cutie here i made it for all her classmates @ school. It is a small favor box which can hold jus a couple of small gifts n sweets. Here is the whole range i made...

I know u people wud hav guessed, this model is Deepti's creation. Dint i tell u i made a blunder in CASEing her project instead of a card for the challenge?? This is wat i CASEd, then realising the blunder i made, i did a card then. I was kept as a table centre piece. Isnt is lovely??

Do tell me ur views on this party ensemble...... hav a good day

Waterfall Card !!

Hi all

Posting after a short gap, we had gone on a short vacation with the whole lot of our family. Had a real fun n masti time, kids enjoyed a lot.
Ok now to crafting, U must have all seen the wish book i made for my son's bday, now here is the invitaion i made. Its a waterfall card, tried it for the first time. I wanted something different n grand for his bday, after all its the 1st Birthday. It was based on the chotta bheem theme colours of orange n white. Have a look at the pic....

The Upright card

I used moon rock sheet for the base n for the flaps, secured it with brads (all from Itsy bitsy) and finished it by adding some punched out shapes and a thin ribbon for the pull.

The Pulled out card

When u pull down the flaps, the Chhota bheem is seen from behind and the party invite is at the bottom. Adding the chhota bheem sticker behind the flaps was my husband's idea n it turned out well. Making the waterfall card was fun n having taken the precise scoring, it was easy. Here is a short video showing the pullout mech

Finally i ended up making nearly 30 of these invites. Little laborious i agree. But it was the first Bday.

When i made these waterfall cards, i liked them soo much that i have tried a couple more in varying themes, ill be sharing them soon. Hope u all liked it today, do tell me ur views.

That's it from me folks, have a great day
hugs
Sujana

Lion King B'day Invite

Hi all,

Here is one of my recent creations to share....
My sister's son had a  Lion King themed b'day party and i designed the party invites. I went with the theme colours of green n yellow and made a simple pull-out invite. If i did have more time, i could have added few more embellishments.

The grass and the lion are hand cut. The lion have been a lil more smiling..... But all in all, am satisfied with the work. Its just the beginning and am learning a lot from everyone out there.

Thanks for stopping by and do post ur comments.

my first blog post

This is one of my favorites. i made this for my daughter's 1st bday. though it is not a recent one i thought id start off with something impressive. the 'dress' is made of layers of lace and embellished with half cut pearls.

We had a 'princess' themed party for her 1st bday. and i made lots of hand made items for it, so i guess some of my first few post will be based on it.

thanks for visiting my blog n do give ur comments
