Twin Babies Trishutter card

Howdy ppl...

Good to be back to blogging often again. This post is especially for the challenge at Itsy Bitsy, which is Baby themed. I did this project long back but cudnt get to posting it here. Here are the pics first...

The entire card laid flat

This card as u can see is a huge one, the closed card measures 6"x 8" and the open card measures 6"x 26". I have left few places for the photos. I have added two tags for the birth details of the babies each, also their respective names are added in the form of banner at the top. So basically i hav dedicated one side each for a baby. Since both are girls i went wid all gal colours symmetrically.
The pretty stripes pp is from itsy bitsy and so are the cradle felt stickers & birth detail tags. Distressing has become mandatory for all my projects now, it gives a lovely depth all edges. Hoping to find some time to try out news things with distressing and stamping soon.

Thats it from me today. Hope u r all enjoying ur sunday.

I loved how the card had turned out. Can u see the white net cloth beneath the roses? Its recycled from my daughters' old dress, it gives such a soft feel to the roses & pollens. Since i first incorporated the pattu saree-veshti knot in a project, it has become a fav for many and ther want me to put it up somewer or other on the card. All the PP on the card are from papermania.
Do put down ur thoughts & suggestions
See u soon with another project, hopefully soon enough

Double Trishutter Album

Hi gals....

This is my very first try @ double trishutter fold. Followed a lotta tutes on the net but the one by Mallika really helped. I have adjusted the measurements according to my needs. Those yellow roses are made using the swirly daisy die from itsy bitsy. My first flowers using a die, jus loved it

Embellished it using some punched butterflies, quotes, bling & pearls. I love adding banners.

Cup cake Tri Shutter card

Hello friends....

Here is a special card from me. I made this card for a card making competition in our local. The theme had to be birthday cake or cup cake, i choose the second. This card won the creativity award (won a wrist watch). This is the card...

Card Lying Flat

Front View

The Cup cake is handmade, used moon rock sheet & corrugated sheet, topped it with button n pearls & finished it with a pink twine. Also used a lotta buttons for embellishing, i coloured the flower buttons pink, the smaller cup cake is a sticker. Used some foam balloons from Itsy Bitsy

See the sentiment? I traced it and used a calligraphy pen to write? Gosh, took a long time but am happy with it. Writing this took soo long that i simply wrote the other sentiment 'cuppy cake wishes' with a marker.
