Baby Layout- Naming Ceremony

Hello everyone,

Today am sharing a baby layout which can also be framed. The pics first,

Its a 8*8 inch board. and i started off by laying the pp. Its so bright and cheerful. Love it. The name is Silhouette cut and the wordings are printed and die cut using Peek-a-boo stitched rectangles.

The Sentiment "Bundle of Joy" is heat embossed on vellum. Any layout of mine is never complete without a banner.
Some close-ups....

Some buttons, ribbons, laces and confetti to complete the layout and add interest.

Thats' it for today. Hope you liked my layout and thanks for dropping by.

Hugs

Castle Christmas Card

Hello there!!

Today i have another Castle card for you, this time i tried it on the festive Christmas theme. Christmas means snow. So i have this sparkling card today,

It is a very simple card. I first inked the night sky with dusty concord and faded jeans DI. Then i hand cut the "snow mountains" and inked the edges lightly before mounting on the card front. Then i stamped the castle image with versamark and heat embossed it with sparkling white powder. I also drew some snow fall with Ranger emboss it pen and heat embossed it again. Also some snow on the ground. Finally put it all together and mounted it on the card base and stamped the sentiment finally.

Here is a closer look,

hope you liked my card. Looking forward to posting more xmas cards soon.
Have a crafty weekend

You rule my World!

Hi all,

so happy to share a dear card of mine. I loved making it. Here is the card

Yeah, the castle stamp- its gorgeous and am loving it. Its been sleeping too long and am glad it has finally seen the light of the day. And also TH honey comb is my fav now, love it.

For the card, first i went about and stencilled the pattern with yellow, orange & red DI. Then stamped the image on a separate watercolour sheet and heat embossed it in gold before fussy cutting it.

I wanted to add more interest to the card and hence splashed some black ink with a brush and added sequins to the bg. And now before adhering the castle, added some silver twine behind it for more added interest

Close up of the bg

The sentiment is from Peekaboo and i loved the mix up possibilities in this set. The sentiment is Heat embossed in black on vellum. May be i should try another card without the vellum and stamping the sentiment directly on the bg. what do u say gals??

Neon Butterflies!!!

Hi crafty peeps,

Ok first things first!!!
yaay I am the winner in Mudra #1-Anythings goes. So very happy about this. This win comes after a long time and also on my first try @ stamping. yaaay

I am back after another big break. Last weekend i made quiet a few cards, yeah only cards. Since i started stamping, i am hooked to it. Usually i prefer Fun fold cards but boy! Stamping is much more interesting than that.

Ok before the new cards, id like to post about a small card i did some time back.

Neon Notecards

Neon Butterflies

You are amazing

I did a bunch of them for Teachers' day and my kids loved it. The butterfly is stamped and fussy cut (stamp set from cat's meow) with Hero Arts Neon cubes. The sentiment is Heat embossed.

This is a pretty small card, more like a note card. I also did a bigger version and u can check it out here

Thats it for today. Waiting to post more cards using stamping. Thanks for dropping by folks. Feels good to be back.

Pink & Gold

Hello there,

Keeping this blog alive amidst busy days. I made this card for Teacher's Day for my daughter. Here too i have tried few stuff new to me.... Stenciling & Embossing

First i clear embossed the piece of card stock with script stamp and then i have stenciled randomly with TH honey comb stencil in worn lipstick. I also inked the edges with the same. The centre panel has the same script stamp stamped with Worn lipstick. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold.

And see those gorgeous butterflies. I stamped and fussy cut the butterfly and gave it a thick coat of glossy accents. And it sure looks Glassy :) The smaller butterflies are punched and embossed in gold.

Finally mounted it on card base with a golden strip. So how is my card? I enjoyed making it...... with lots of trial & error. See you with another card soon.

Happy weekend!!!

More Chevron!!!

Hey crafty folks,

Here is one more experimental card from me. For some time now i have been wanting to give mixed media a try, but dint have the guts to do so. I got this Pebeo White gesso a while back and here is my first try with it.

I took a white cardstock and applied the Pebeo Studio Gesso through the Chevron Stencil. I used the scrapper which came along with my cameo. It was pretty good and did the job.

I allowed it to dry naturally (should have used the heat gun) and then distressed the CS with spiced marmalade and worn lipstick. The result was good but a little boring so i cut up the CS in the centre along the zig zag. And against a black CS it was striking.
Just wanted to focus on the bg and sentiment so kept it simple and neat. Stamped the sentiment on vellum and heat embossed it in black. And a little golden embroidery floss to add interest.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great week ahead

My First Water colouring

Hi people..

Glad to be trying some new stuff. Here is my first try on water colouring. Loved doing it. I got some Mudra Stamps recently and i have been colouring like crazy.

For my first try here, i heat embossed it in gold and then coloured the image with DI (worn lipstick and peeled paint). Then fussy cut it and mounted on card base. some glossy accents for the dews. Sentiment is again heat embossed in gold on vellum.

A close up of the water colouring

The card looks grand and glittery IRL. I gifted this to a friend for their house-warming (yeah, another).

Next i wanted to try colouring it without embossing, and here it is

I liked this a little better than the previous one, it has more scope for shading and differentiating the colours. Here i have used worn lipstick and candid apple for the flowers. Same layout again..

Next i tried no line colouring. Am soo new to this techniques that i had to do some mistakes. First have a look @ the card.

haha... green flowers!!! very rare :0
For no line colouring i knew u had to stamp the images with a lighter shade colour, and so i stamped it with yellow DI and coloured it with peacock feathers........... so (yellow +blue) became green. I did have a hard time making the leaves look different from the flowers :0 :0 :0
My DI collection is small so i had to adjust with what i had.

Then i stamped the image again with peacock feathers and coloured with the same. Here is the card.

Now this looks a little better i guess. I also used tumbled glass for shading & differentiating. Here is a look at all cards together.

Ok thats it from me today. Any water colouring tips and new techniques would be highly appreciated. Also do comment on which is ur fav watercolouring technique.

Thanks for dropping by,
Hugs!!!
