Xylophone Card !!

Hello crafty minds

Check out this cool card,

My kids were playing with their stuff in which was a toy xylophone, immediately seeing the colours i wanted to make a card based on it for the current challenge at catchy challenges. I loved how it has turned out. I tried keeping the sticks (or wat ever its called) above the xylophone but i dint want to disturb the clean look, so placed it beneath the sentiment. Nothing else to describe, jus a CAS card.

Supplies Used
Itsy Bitsy Punch craft papers
IB brads
Fiesta buttons (now a days am addicted to buttons, not able to complete any project without it)

Gift Box & Tag

Hello all...

Here is a gift box n tag i made for the current challenge at Crafters Corner.

I altered a Ipod box into a gift box. I just needed a reason to make a box for the challenge, so wen my daughter wanted a cute little box to put her crayons at school, i jumped at the chance. The coordinating tag will be used on her school bag or travel bag, both the box n the tag has her name on it. I soo wanted to use a pretty lil bow, but it will be inconvenient for her to handle. For such reasons i have kept the embellishments to a minimum. Here is another view.

As an after thought, there are so many things i could have done different. But thats the way it is, gotta keep improving at each attempt.

Supplies Used
PP - DCWV Girlhood paper stack
Blue Stripes Washi tape - LuLupu
Buttons - Locally bought
The butterfly n flowers on the tag - i have coloured it with sketch & added pearls
Golden handle on the Tag - from old marriage invite

ok, hope u all liked it. Do give me ur feedback
c u soon again
Sujana

Take time to...... DREAM

Dear Bloggers,

I wanted to make some cards for a few challenges.... am often said to 'over analysis' things, and that's why may be my subconscious came up with a card that fits the bill for not 1 but 4 challenges.

I love the blue embossed handmade sheet, thanks to Naveena (Rajavalli) who bought me a huge bundle of handmade sheets all the way from chennai, Thank u dear sis. The buttons are from Itsy Bitsy (Fiesta buttons) as are the flourishes. The bling is locally bought & fabric flowers are from mom s old saree.

Thats it for now. bye
Sujana

Yet another Explosion Box

Hello crafters

Here is an explosion box i made on order for a friend. After deliberating with the colours i decided to go with White n Red. It has a lot of hearts and can be used with the valentine theme too.

The Outside View

The linked hearts i made is purely hand-cut and glittered. Love how it has turned out. The box top has a gorgeous lace and a matching colour ribbon. Here is a close up of the linked hearts.

Glittered Linked Hearts

This time i have tried putting the layers criss cross instead of the usual type, here is the pic when u open the box.

Top view of the opened Box

And Viola...... lovely isnt it

The Open Box

For the layered hearts in the centre i used floral stem to make a spring and attached the hearts, now it gives a nice wobbly effect wen u shake it. Then i have attached a few hearts using ohp sheets.

I also made a card with spiral hearts and linked it. And for one of the pockets to put photos, i upcycled the red cloth from a saree and added few beads.

Hope u all liked it. I really loved making it.
ps. most of the items i use are locally bought except for PP, but still if there is any query, ill be happy to help.

Happy crafting
Sujana

Black & Gold Explosion Box

Hello there,

Am posting an explosion box i made for a sweet couple on occasion of the aiyappa's 70th birthday. Here are the pics,

I have created the flower by joining 2 EK success flower burst punch flowers and added black pearls to the centre. And the chevron strip around the box top is upcycled from my mom s old saree. It matches well right?

To the centre of the box i added my fav spiral flowers and a few leaves. I have left a couple of spaces for the photos.

The pocket you see here is also upcycled from an old gold cloth. I took the border part to make use of the design n stones.
I loved this explosion box because of the colours n the fact that the finishing is slightly better than the last one. Hoping to improve further.

bye bye
Sujana
