Double Easel Card!

Hello Friends

Today am posting a double easel card, i was jus trying out the new technique but it has come out quite nice(i believe so). Am hooked to Easel cards these days, its jus that becomes something more than a card when opened. Also i hav my new quilled flowers to decorate the cards i make.

Guess the card is self explanatory, i have used the sentiment as a stopper. I stamped the sentiment on a white CS in red ink and coloured it with orange colour pencil to match the colours. And guess wat i got my new Martha Stewart score board from Anandha Stationary wen i went to chennai and life s more easy with it, no more messing around with rulers.

Hope you liked my card buddies, if ther s any place i link this card specifically(like colour scheme, type) do suggest me. Thank u in advance

Easel cum Shaker Card !

Hello people...

Here is a card i made for my DH on his bday. I wanted to try the shaker card for a long time n thought this was the right moment. Here are the pics

Card lying flat

I soo badly wanted to add some pearls n stuff but resisted it for fear of turning it to a very feminine card. Jus distressed the scallop edges with water colour pencil. And for the shaker thing, i enjoyed doing it. Added some red punched hearts to it, it looks lovely, isnt it.  For the stopper i have added a wooden heart from a clothesline clip.

Card as an easel

Card as a photo frame

I added a thin threaded lace to the back to make a small hanging, now it can be used as a photo frame too (dint know where to hang the card, so hung it to the lamp switch for the photo).

Hope u liked my card, n i once again thank my blog friends for their appreciation & support.

PS. Am super happy, jus now saw the result for Catchy challenge, n am a winner for my sunburst layout. yaaaaayyy
Hugs,
Sujana

Shabby Chic !!

Hello everyone....

Good to be back, even though the break was jus a few days. Here is my first try @ shabby chic style. I followed a post by Ujjwal Goel on how to do it. Also this card is inspired by Archana Bhurke's card. Sorry i couldnt find the exact link to both (read it as too lazy :( )

Anyways here is the card

Here is a lot of firsts for me in this card. Used Distress Ink, yay! ya got my first couple of distress inks, its soo soo juicy. Even the Flower button & sentiment is done using the Distress ink (Vintage photo ofcourse!). Really loved how this card has turned out, many corrections to do, but still i love it.
I even tried distressing the corners of the pattern paper with a scissors & directly applied Distress ink. The felt flowers are handmade, and i have added ribbon & pearls (wats shabby chic without it). Nothing else about the card.

Supplies used
Card Stock- Fabriano
PP- from Itsy Bitsy
Buttons- Local Buy
Distress ink- Vintage photo
Ribbon & Pearl- from stash

My first Stamping !!

Hi everybody....

Here is my first attempt at stamping. This is the advantage of challenges, it makes u try out new techniques. The contest at Lulupu kept me itching to try out the stamp set i have been having for a long time now.

This is the only stamp set (other than sentiments) i have got, so no second thoughts there, but using it efficiently..... that kept me thinking. After some deliberation, here are the cards that i was satisfied with,

{Sorry for the bad pic}.... For this i have used the first stamp, stamped it out in orange n red and i have fussy cut it and made flowers out of it. Added some bling to the centre, The sentiment is hand written.

Now here is my second card,

For the second card, i have used the second stamp. First i created a continuous pattern out of it, then drew the checks, made an Argyle pattern (inspired by BGC # 33) and formed this tile layout. Again the sentiment here is hand written. Kept both cards neat n simple, i love it dat way.

Hope u liked both the cards today, pls do give me ur feedback, this is my first attempt @ stamping, dint know the rules, jus tried it out.
