This Pillaiyar (Ganeshji) was designed especially for kids, so that they can make their own homemade Ganesh for Ganesh Chathurthy. This can be made both with clay or flour dough or with a mix of turmeric and flour, all this made at home.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This method requires very less experience with clay and it starts by making balls from clay for each of the body parts of Ganesh, (3 big balls - head, body & trunk, 6 small balls - 2 ears, 2 hands, 2 legs) and finally 1 different colour ball for the crown. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin6DbqzDDncLftJXwZaETN7SasbC8Hyru2L1bRa0D4gv9xtdETd6_jVrvuPmzo6dm70VlflAhfYMMNhhe3QnRQwsqA80SklVA91s1nYJuuzltn0EvrMqxT4SHzFDEswb_xjURAIbCFKvA/s2048/20200821_101920.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1996" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin6DbqzDDncLftJXwZaETN7SasbC8Hyru2L1bRa0D4gv9xtdETd6_jVrvuPmzo6dm70VlflAhfYMMNhhe3QnRQwsqA80SklVA91s1nYJuuzltn0EvrMqxT4SHzFDEswb_xjURAIbCFKvA/w624-h640/20200821_101920.jpg" width="624" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqeB0y1wB289VPmeGj8swpUyJYZG0fPnWhCtZNIIuZFp96FuYrwQz_wTUg75pdOyV8gfQa2XL-O17Hy_tt4dlQZmxiS8IWgrZf2VeOgA915VJwCSFmMlCD5Q8mGFgOjDURjXsmjfOgJfk/s2048/20200821_113732.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqeB0y1wB289VPmeGj8swpUyJYZG0fPnWhCtZNIIuZFp96FuYrwQz_wTUg75pdOyV8gfQa2XL-O17Hy_tt4dlQZmxiS8IWgrZf2VeOgA915VJwCSFmMlCD5Q8mGFgOjDURjXsmjfOgJfk/w640-h480/20200821_113732.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">You can also decorate the crown with stones or button. It's an interactive clock which means kids can move the hands of the clock and show the right time. I did this model for my son for his Maths exhibition at school. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdLqeGV2Uwj-khnGj6hfPKnMaTlVcQfHwBu0tDb5VKMX0v8RkTw2LC6u_CsBcAqFwR-Fn5_tFZUuHfq3dyErZuodyWcbG6zmatssXmi8HBvCstAv8kMKxum9rI4_sOnZCjwEAaPEQs2_o/s2048/20200206_081829-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1489" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdLqeGV2Uwj-khnGj6hfPKnMaTlVcQfHwBu0tDb5VKMX0v8RkTw2LC6u_CsBcAqFwR-Fn5_tFZUuHfq3dyErZuodyWcbG6zmatssXmi8HBvCstAv8kMKxum9rI4_sOnZCjwEAaPEQs2_o/w466-h640/20200206_081829-2.jpg" width="466" /></a></div>Here like you can see, there is a pouch at the bottom of this model. It contains simple questions for kids, they have to solve it and find the right time and set the time in the Clock. It was interesting activity and kids loved it a lot. They kept coming back to our stall.<p></p><p>The model is made up of a card board base (carton box) and easily available materials. I am listing it down for your reference.</p><p>1. Carton box</p><p>2. pattern paper</p><p>3. Foam sheets (corrugated)</p><p>4. Foam numbers from Itsy Bitsy</p><p>5. Card board hands</p><p>6. Stickers, etc</p><p>I also added a stand for the model, so that it can be displayed on the counter. Hope you were able to draw some inspiration from this, and hope it was useful. Thank you and see you soon again.</p><p>Love,</p><p>Sujana</p><p><br /><br /></p>Sujanahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05183901916979403366noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325356355891837603.post-78486421147753398032020-11-16T22:30:00.001-08:002020-11-16T22:30:09.215-08:00Mixed Media Art Journal - My First<p> Hello friends,</p><p>Here is my very first attempt at making a mixed media art journal. Hello there...<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Yesterday i was going through my blog history and i found that the posts which got maximum views/visits are those related to kids' project. And i thought why not post more relating to that, and i got many of those.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So today i have a post on Clay modelling. The theme is Vegetables. This project was done for my son's school competition. He did a pretty good work and we chose a whole lot of different vegetables for it. Here are the pics..</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkWVghn9fJo5ufieFKRFffIqwyi5koa7prn5yjwlFrEgXg9cMq0p6Zo64kjUObTkKxiMAu2q6qkv4X-GKWYODWNavHwrdfI9ITUb5RlmSxS4qVjcgJPZQAiFYKSd29zANYtiY0QvNpIe0/s1600/Picture1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="1137" height="632" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkWVghn9fJo5ufieFKRFffIqwyi5koa7prn5yjwlFrEgXg9cMq0p6Zo64kjUObTkKxiMAu2q6qkv4X-GKWYODWNavHwrdfI9ITUb5RlmSxS4qVjcgJPZQAiFYKSd29zANYtiY0QvNpIe0/s640/Picture1.png" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Clay modelling for kids</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you can see, apart from just making the clay models, we made elaborate arrangements for displaying it. The base is an old recycled tea box. I have divided it with foam board and layered it with corrugated sheet and net.</div>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCA8c0ONnIl-4mmcSguiZrLBrZvHGfA7ZX2_BqfebXs6L6KLOWWk8FPOnuzocxyKla6RmPsEgaliZi-k2lv6Lp2Wz73kzWkfkP7DfSAtyco_FiKcgnARMRiJ9YiRXN8FkGBCB6A8kSX1U/s1600/Picture2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1153" data-original-width="1133" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCA8c0ONnIl-4mmcSguiZrLBrZvHGfA7ZX2_BqfebXs6L6KLOWWk8FPOnuzocxyKla6RmPsEgaliZi-k2lv6Lp2Wz73kzWkfkP7DfSAtyco_FiKcgnARMRiJ9YiRXN8FkGBCB6A8kSX1U/s640/Picture2.png" width="628" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Clay modelling - Peas, Corn, Chillies</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We made 9 different veggies and they are <b>Peas, Raddish, Carrot, Corn, Chillies (green & red), Brinjal, Pumpkin, Cabbage & Tomatoes</b>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The last three vegetbles mentioned are placed in the stand. I found a candle holder ceramic doll to act as the Vegetable vendor.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All vegetables are pretty easy to make. You can zoom in for more details. With more pratice, kids will be able to mould it in the proper shape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of all these vegetables, cabbage & corn might be a little tricky for little hands to mould since it needs the leaves to surround the veggie.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx3T6iAzRk0YCnEI7qCNio0WqYDTvPTlW19bYmrcYjHPsa75N-17SvfUWOkCgveQWMS3QUvFiL6_gcgYyks-kQi84mLZ8yKYIox3uWMZ5X6TIBIZL1Dk9i8Vk-nMg2QEb0CJ8cFTzdC_c/s1600/Picture3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1125" data-original-width="1125" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx3T6iAzRk0YCnEI7qCNio0WqYDTvPTlW19bYmrcYjHPsa75N-17SvfUWOkCgveQWMS3QUvFiL6_gcgYyks-kQi84mLZ8yKYIox3uWMZ5X6TIBIZL1Dk9i8Vk-nMg2QEb0CJ8cFTzdC_c/s640/Picture3.png" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Clay modelling - Brinjal, Raddish, Carrot</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anybody loves it when the final piece looks soo good. And i was completely satisfied with this. And the candle holder added such beauty.</div>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope this gives an idea for kids and parents alike who are searching around for ideas for competition. Do comment your views and if you have tried any other vegetable, do mention it.</div>

Hi there...<br />

I am returning to my blog after a couple of years. So let me start off and do a couple of posts.<br />

<br />
Ok first of all, ill start by posting few favorites i missed to blog about. I made this just b4 the camp started. Have a look (but i might have posted it in Insta though)<br />

Hello all,<br />
<br />
Here is a quick post from me. Its a fun Unicorn shaker card. I actually wanted to do a slider card, but a shaker card was easier to finish for me. So do expect a slider card very soon.<br />
<br />
Also Unicorns are my daughter's all time favourite. She is quite a reader and recently she has taken an immense liking to Linda Chapman's Unicorn School. So this card is for my lil darling girl.<br />
<br />
Have a look at my unicorn,<br />

Hello friends,<br />
<br />
guess wat... am back to explosion box 😉<br />
I made this for my friend's new born daughter and loved how it turned out. In fact i have made my first craft video with this. Do check out the video link at the end of the post.<br />
<br />
Here are the pics, (its picture heavy)<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Loaded Box top</td></tr>

<br />
I have made my box top with a ceramic doll at the centre and surrounded by cute miniatures. The name is Silhouette cut and has a coat of glossy accents. Beads, lace, chipboard, etc<br />
<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Close up of the ceramic doll</td></tr>

<br />
The flower is handmade with Tim Holtz tattered florals. I have heat embossed some white glitter on the flower. The white lace is glued with a glue gun. Also on the outside i have used fleur de lis squares as frames and chipboard elements. Chipboards are from Papericious & Itsy Bitsy.<br />

Hello friends,<br />
<br />
Here is another card today. I am so stuck to Distress inks and stamps. I hardly ever reach my pattern papers these days. Loving the change. Have a look at my card first,<br />

I stamped the flowers in watercolour sheet and heat embossed them in gold. Used DI to colour my flowers. Then fussy cut them and arranged in a bunch. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the background, i have used Papericious ivory cardstock. I aligned the washi tapes in equal distance and sponged Pumice stone DI and a gradient pattern. Used peekaboo stitched rectangle die here. </div>

Hi there,<br />
<br />
Continuing with my obsession with watercolours, here is a couple of bookmark i made. When ever i try out something new, in ends up as a card or bookmark. Same here, i have tried some bg colouring too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSwCbFl62AjLQYIBqRUOiUHZwp5OGmPyBNcPUW_RpOFNSOyypxejuZyVihfqySinZA1zWGuzg1JYtz6qZm4bLYGnKBeicl0wpd0eO2nripsiC9IxZ6oBYBWWAadZ8KvKMJt1jToMLIlLs/s1600/IMG_20170119_144953.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="484" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSwCbFl62AjLQYIBqRUOiUHZwp5OGmPyBNcPUW_RpOFNSOyypxejuZyVihfqySinZA1zWGuzg1JYtz6qZm4bLYGnKBeicl0wpd0eO2nripsiC9IxZ6oBYBWWAadZ8KvKMJt1jToMLIlLs/s640/IMG_20170119_144953.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The images are stamped directly on the water colour sheet and coloured with Distress inks. For the 1st bookmark with blue flowers, I stenciled with gesso to give some texture. Slightly coloured the gesso with vintage photo.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the second one, it was stamped by my daughter. We have used Neon cubes for this bookmark. And again through chevron stencil, i loosely water coloured it. (learning on the go)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMcUdPkgaUTF-GtPptOacYQX7XGfQBMl5KcOdBvA8GDO1K5zzrPwTASWD7C6GEN53rB9l5LMqxpxX9Guo9Mqwy2qwFV4Sjzd98O3SeTSfmGfdIb7elOCu69OWAMJQGUnfaVcPYSL5ZoY4/s1600/IMG_20170119_145041.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMcUdPkgaUTF-GtPptOacYQX7XGfQBMl5KcOdBvA8GDO1K5zzrPwTASWD7C6GEN53rB9l5LMqxpxX9Guo9Mqwy2qwFV4Sjzd98O3SeTSfmGfdIb7elOCu69OWAMJQGUnfaVcPYSL5ZoY4/s640/IMG_20170119_145041.jpg" width="510" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So thats it, some pretty water coloured bookmards. All stamps & sentiments are from mudra craft stamps. Loving it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for dropping by</div>

Here is another card i coloured with my kids Faber Castell colour pencils. The image is a free digi from the net. I applied a layer of Mod-podge for the glossy look. But the most exciting part for me is the bg. I recently bought a pumice stone DI and i love it. Still trying out different possibilities with it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After blending in worn lipstick & pumice stone i splashed some water drops and heat dried it. The sentiment is heat embossed. The card front and base are cut from Peekaboo stitched rectangles.</div>

Hello there...<br />
<br />
February is truly romantic in the blogland with reds & pinks. Loving the ideas everyone come up with. But i am truly in a different mode. Trying out new stuff and new techniques. Some particular idea hits you and u can never come out of it until satisfied.<br />
So this time around it is Digital image & watercolours for me. When my limited supply of image stamps ran out, i have started trying watercolouring and pencil colouring on Digi images.<br />
<br />
Ok here is my humble take on colouring Digi images. I have had many challenges. The main being "smearing & bleeding of printer ink". I still havnt overcome it, trying different methods. Hope something works out soon<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAAy5J-w6YCoAMNWkJs6fEu-RD1QRaoKJCxV7c118V7vTbM_EknbF8fhKfxMiLOalULVy1Xunj3-wzH7f8_dyCpHDtvXqTKRk3J_wIykAQP2tFkK2dbUhycWXuwUKhhTWt1RER0aFqoB8/s1600/IMG_20170201_125620.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="619" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAAy5J-w6YCoAMNWkJs6fEu-RD1QRaoKJCxV7c118V7vTbM_EknbF8fhKfxMiLOalULVy1Xunj3-wzH7f8_dyCpHDtvXqTKRk3J_wIykAQP2tFkK2dbUhycWXuwUKhhTWt1RER0aFqoB8/s640/IMG_20170201_125620.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Water coloured Digi Image</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />I have coloured the image with watercolour pencils. You can see the difference in the face... skin tones are the most sensitive to bleeding. It was just a trial at watercolouring but i cudnt waste the pic... so made it into a card.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
BG</div>
<div>
For the bg, i first applied gesso thru Hero Arts chevron stencil and let it air dry. I wanted to make a watercolour washed bg but Distress inks get too diluted and hence the light bg. Gesso resisted the DI and thus a beautiful bg.</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeASgkIWgSrbXsKdITbXDXKePQzO908KLNX1gxz6E9W8gf7ZQ59r-X2I-GR6u1scbWhRP6Gj-oCm39tvr-fNiv3xb5OsexypYL2gajGP1Gs2JhR7G-2yR9ZU3KCvpQEMnseTP7wTVayFE/s1600/IMG_20170201_125642.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeASgkIWgSrbXsKdITbXDXKePQzO908KLNX1gxz6E9W8gf7ZQ59r-X2I-GR6u1scbWhRP6Gj-oCm39tvr-fNiv3xb5OsexypYL2gajGP1Gs2JhR7G-2yR9ZU3KCvpQEMnseTP7wTVayFE/s640/IMG_20170201_125642.jpg" width="606" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Gesso+Stencil in BG</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />Finally mounted the image on the bg and accessorized it with pearls & ribbon. Sentiment stamped with versamark onyx ink. It really stamped well on gesso too.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So thats it today. Hope you liked it. Do comment on tips to avoid ink bleeding. Thank you</div>

Hello all,<br />
<br />
Wish you all a happy & love filled February. Am gonna start this month by posting an old project. It was for my son's 3rd birthday and now he is nearly 5.<br />
Here is the card<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPAzRRb2QuvwROnCU1RBQIRQk45DotCkUQG_5JQCIx-r7II5HBDd0PVfH2nmIyybwmvel8jShwwjdNra-mVpJ4EPY4DNCfetkvq2b5RpOHD37Runb5ijV6f-EBB5MLEHR4UHWTITegba0/s640/20150706_124750.jpg" width="586" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It is basically a printed card. But i just wanted it to have a handmade touch. So i printed out some spiderman masks and cut it. Then added some twine and poped the spiderman mask with foam dots. Simple, easy & handmade. I have another invite based on the same model but for a little girl. You can check out the card <a href="http://craftingwithpassion.blogspot.in/2015/07/1st-bday-invites.html">here</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the envelope, which is from my local stationery shop, i customised it by added two strips of matching washi tapes. Glad my hoarded washis came in use.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Below is the handmade backdrop i made. It added to my son's joys. Simple & customised.</div>

Hello lovely ladies,<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I am soo excited to share my first mixed media layout. This pic was taken during my son's first tonsure ceremony. Lots of celebration and one of my fav pic.</div>
<div>
I really enjoyed playing with different mediums and am now very keen on collecting more sprays & pastes 😀😀😀 A crafters' heart will always want more right?</div>

<br /></div>
<div>
The pics first as always, </div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The Layout</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<u><br /></u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<u>The Background</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started my layout on a piece of foam board measuring 8 x 6 inches. I dint have a canvas board. I layered the base with a coat of gesso... surely gesso gives the needed texture. Then directly on the gesso(after drying ofcourse) i started sponging peeled paint and worn lipstick Distress inks. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once satisfied, i stamped the bg with a script stamp with Hero arts shadow ink (green colour). Wanting to add to the bg, I choose a stencil that i once picked up from my local stationery shop and added gesso through it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I guess any textured/modelling paste would have given more volume but for more gesso did fine for me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wanted to add my fav honey comb design but i only had Tim Holtz stencil, so i decided to use it as a stamp, i applied mild DI on it and pressed it to my bg, And now i used this as an outline and drew on it with an Emboss It pen and heat embossed it gold</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Still not satisfied i splashed some black and gold paint on the bg. And now i was satisfied.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The photo which was by the side also got some paint splashes by mistake but it looked gorgeous to me, so i just left it as it is.😃</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Close up of the BG</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
The bg was the scariest part. Having been done with it, I arranged and rearranged the elements to my safisfaction. The flowers are stamped on Papericious Sigma cardstock and coloured with Distress inks. Loved the beautiful smooth cardstock. Perfect one.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also added some papericious green square sequins. By mistake a sequin fell off wen it was half dry and i found that it made a gorgeous texture with the fevicol. So i scrapped off a few more sequins to reveal nice texture. </div>

Hello all,<br />
<br />
Today to share yet another card with my with favourite Neon cubes. The pics first,<br />

Am so in love with these gorgeous colours. And it gives an excellent finish on water colour sheet. I have stamped the flowers, buds and leaves randomly to create a cluster. I have tries very hard to stay away from laces, ribbons & sequins. i wanted a pretty CAS look for this card</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So i simply stamped the sentiment & splashed it with gold paint. Then mounted it on green card basse. Below is a close up of the flowers. The stamp set is Mudra's Linen blooms.</div>

hello ppl,<br />
<br />
The Indian weekend was busy with the festival of Pongal and Makar Sankaranthi, brushed with the colours of Earth and Nature. Family gatherings and get togethers had promised a happy picture. And so am a lil late for my post here.<br />
<br />
Today am posting a fun baby LO. Its actually a customised photo frame for a friend of mine. Here are the pics,<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0znJdUUTBx5CyfG04CQgOFulVsyL1XqgXix2NO8LcyPaSc3paDKo2LtcuUhg2lV2T-HYTowbxCQ54SFVkEgOpw6bD-kkt1mne9sm-OViXm7PaX73pn61TEHDgcfia_9qCDwb053FINKo/s1600/IMG_20161215_200431.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="628" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0znJdUUTBx5CyfG04CQgOFulVsyL1XqgXix2NO8LcyPaSc3paDKo2LtcuUhg2lV2T-HYTowbxCQ54SFVkEgOpw6bD-kkt1mne9sm-OViXm7PaX73pn61TEHDgcfia_9qCDwb053FINKo/s640/IMG_20161215_200431.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was asked to put up all 12 months' pic of the lil one in a single frame. And so i came up with this. I used Papericious baby chipboard set for this project. It goes well with any baby LO and it has many yummy designs and words. It simply made my job easy and perfect.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The name & numbers are cameo cut. It comes in useful at times like these.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I loved this stamp when i first saw it. Pretty thing it is. It is basically a Square card measuring 4.5"x 4.5". I got inspired by these colours from another card and wanted to use it as a bg. Loving the play with watercolours and the texture created by the waterdrops.</div>

Can you guess? Yes the focal element "monster" was hand drawn. Its just a teeny weeny easy to draw monster, still its a first for me. The bg is built using Mudra "tweety bird" set. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First the balloons were stamped randomly and clear embossed, then i distressed the panel with spiced marmalade, mustard seed and candid apple. I dint want an ombre effect, so just sponged randomly. </div>

The little gift boxes are also from the same set "tweety" set. Loved colouring it all. The sentiment is again heat embossed in black on vellum. I love the watercolour sheet, i use Brustro. But id love to try other brands too. Can anyone suggest a few?</div>
