Vintage Photo Frame

Hi all

Here is my last minute entry for the Lulupu #35 Go 3D. Do u call dis vintage or shabby chic? i guess its got a lil of both. My try was in giving it more layers and also using mixed media.
The base is stamped with Hero Arts scripts stamp and i just went with the flow by adding elements here and there. Jus playing around with the embellishments here and ther consumed a lotta time.
Am simply in love with the 3D bird cage charm. I added the chain and the key it. Then the doily and lace wer distressed wid more than a couple of shades till i was satisfied.

The burlap near the doily and the net cloth covering the flourish jus hit me wen i was nearly finished. The big orange flower was actually how this frame was started. This flower is from one of the numerous from my last post. I jus glittered it with Fevicryl 3D. Love the result.

Finally coated the whole thing with Mod Podge, ya got it very recently and dis is my first project with the mod podge, soo love the matte finish. Do tell me ur views on my humble try at vintage.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all the inspiration ppl.

Flowers & more Flowers!!

Hello everyone...

A couple of days back i went on a flower making spree and ended up with des....

The big flowers are made using Tattered florals die and the smaller ones with Itsy bitsy daisy die. Ya it was the daisy die but still it ended up looking like a Rose, but i love dos small roses, cant really get enough of thos. I hav made some experimentation wid the big flowers like using pattern papers, black burlap, corrugated sheet, net and recycled invitations.
I know all u experts out ther use des, its jus dat dis is my first at trying des and i loved doing it, Shuffling things and trying out new combos.
Do share ur views on thes flowers and do suggest easy flower making tutes with des particular dies. Thank you for dropping by.
Have a lovely day

Happiness Box

Hello all

Wondering at the title?? yeah its just an explosion box with the theme as 'Happiness'. But it has an explosion of handmade flowers... hav a look at the pics

The top with handmade roses

The centre has a box to hold a mini cd

The second layer

Few of the panels

Okay these are some of the things done differently. First this box can hold around 30-35 photos and space for 30 wishes or records. All these i hav accommodated through accordion folds and other interactive methods. There are 3 pockets which hold 5 tags each. Further though there are jus 2 layers i hav decorated the back panels of the first layer and so it leaves me with 12 panels and hence space to accommodate a lotta stuff.
Thats it folks. Hope u liked it and thanks a lot for stopping by.

Good to be able to get time to post. I have a lovely card in a box to share with u all. This is my first try at this all i simply love it. Minimal embellishments is all u need, the pop up effect is too good. This is for a lil boy's birthday.

Here are the pics, doesnt it look like a lil toy chest. <3 <3

Pop-up Slider card

Hello all

I know i am being irregular on my blog but today yes here i am. And id like to share a recent project of mine with you all. It is an invitation for the naming ceremony of a baby girl. Here are the pics first

Card  Front

This is my second try at a pop-up slider card and am loving this. It gives a lovely surprise to the receiver. Since it was a girl, i have added different shades of pink. I simply loved doing the pram. If you look closely the 'white' part of the pram is fully covered with lace... it gave the pram an elegant look apart from the texture & dimension. The 'wheels' of the pram are large size bling stones actually. A button would hav done a better job but i couldnt find soo many co-ordinating buttons within a short notice. The baby photo is stuck on the smallest Fleur di Lis Squares and the deco corner is from a cherry Lynn deco die.

The pop-up pram

This is how the Pram pops up wen the card is pulled.

The inside panels hav the ceremony details along with a couple of pics. Also i hav stamped 'button & baby pin' from Fiskars baby quotes stamp set. Little details go a long way.

Finally here is a glimpse of the entire set of cards for the naming ceremony. Loved doing this projects and loved the feedback even better ;)
Hope u all liked it too. Thanks for stopping by
