A mini, from a dotting daughter!!

Good Morning people....

its a lovely Dec morn, feels like heaven. But most of the time it jus makes me lazy and its really hard to scrap myself off my warm bed. But yeah here i am and my post today is a mini album, 6x6" for a darling dad made for his dad. I had made this on commission a long back ago.

I made the album in a stand up mode so that i can used as a table top memory book too. Here are the pic. Missed few folds in between i guess.

Many items used here are recycled like the doily, buttons, few laces and scrap PPs. I did for a friend and i loved all their family snaps. Ok winding it up for today... Gear up for a new year folks. Hopefully ill see u again soon. bye

Back with a bang!!

Hello everyone...

First of all, wish you all a Merry Christmas. Hope it was fun all over. Ok here is the story, i have been crafting regularly and crafting crazy most times but since am in a tight schedule, my blog has been compromised. Also usually i post according to few challenges alive out on our blogland and hence most projects of mine go on the waiting queue. I have decided to put a stop to that. I dont need to participate in any challenges, i just need to blog and keep it rocking and rolling. The satisfaction u get when going through the blog surely doesnt come the facebook page. So as the New Year comes by, here is my resolution to keep my blog active and to keep me satisfied.

Ok now coming to the imp part, here is one of my recent favorite. A photo frame

So how do you think it is? I love adding texture to flowers and here a layer of burlap is added in this Tattered florals flower. Also the charms are sitting on a layer of burlap heart. And this Love bird die, i bought it from Itsy bitsy wen i visited one of their physical stores in bangalore. And also i hope everyone is going crazy with the Christmas sale all over. I utilised this opportunity since i had my bday last week..... lucky me!!!!

Ok gals... hope you liked my frame and keep enjoying the holiday week. Catch u all real soon again. Till then bye

Quad Easel Card

Good Morning beautiful people....

Its such a cool and lovely morning and feels good to blog my thoughts and work now. Am gonna share a Quad easel card i made for my sisters' bday. Quad easel has long been on my mind but just got the moment to try it out.

the card laying flat

I have tried a twisted quad easel and it looks much more better than a normal quad easel. As you can see, its quite easy to make a quad easy, just put 4 single easel cards together on a base and make sure you give room to open and close the easel easily.

the card- standing

I love banners and i an hardly keep away from them. Make a good one according to the project and they can fit it perfectly. The flowers are made from TH tattered florals.

top view of the quad easel

See the top view? yes you just have to make sure they are not congested wen the easels are drawn out. Also i out in a couple of tags for messages

with the tags out

I tried to keep the colour just to yellow but i had to add red in between due to the flight of imagination ;) Anyways dats it people. Hope you liked it, if anybody has any other method of Quad easel do share with me.

Happy crafting

Anniversary Shadow Box

Hi people....

I made this Shadow box for our anniversary. This is my first one and love how it has turned out. Here are the pics

Shadow boxes have been on my 'to do' list for a long time and finally i did one for our own. Jus love how far u can customise here. Each box here contains a collectible with a story of its own..... the glass lady bugs, cycle, scooter charm, gel candle, dry flower, Eiffel tower, etc.

The '5' has been hand drawn and cut. I used a self embossed and patterned sheet for it. The cute ceramic couple doll has also been recycled. I have been hoarding it for a long time, it was too small to use but it was perfect for a shadow box.

Love the bird cage charm with the white birds... adorable right. The 'special moment' chipboard has been heat embossed with sparkling white powder and i have used prima marketing papers, love to get my hands on more prima products.

Hope you liked it guys. I have one more shadow box done with full black bg.... will upload it in next post. yaya.... am on a holiday in pondicherry..... blogging from a cozy Accord room. So expect more posts people.
Till then bye bye

Model of a Bag Scanning Machine

Hi folks...

Hope everyone had a blast for Diwali. Here is a different post from me. I made this Display model for my son- a Bag scanning machine and he is studying in Nursery!!!! I wonder if he even understands the concepts. They are learning about Air transport and this comes under Airport Security.
Anyway here is the model

The Model with the model ;)

I converted an old carton box for this project. The plank holding the bags is a foam board. And the corners are taped with washis.

Origami Handbag

This origami handbag was the one thing that took a long time to make but once you do it, you can get the hang of it pretty quickly. I added OHP sheets in strips to represent the screen.

Tray that holds watches, Belts, Mobiles & Wallet

Its just the conception of an idea. Once i got the idea of how to execute the model, it was pretty easy. This can even be easily changed to a working model but for now its just a display model. Hope you found it good and it could even help someone with their project.

Nice blogging today after long. Have a happy sunday. bye

'Special Moment' Photo Frame

Hello dear crafters....

Not being regular with posting on blog again. Pretty busy month!
Today am sharing a photo frame i did a couple of days ago. I started off hesistantly since i was lacking the crafting mojo, but in the end it came up to my satisfaction.

Metal charms have been a live saver for me. Just a lil addition here and there changes the whole look of the project and makes it grand. The big yellow flower is done with TH Tattered florals. I couldnt capture the 'Special moments' correctly. But i had just left it raw without any paint or heat embossing and i simply loved it.

The Polka dot pp is a digital download i bought for another particular project. Polka dots are always a beauty. Finally added few sequins randomly. And then a handmade box to hold the gift. Done!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you liked the frame.
See you all soon

Magazine Holder

Hi all

Today am sharing a handmade Magazine holder which i actually used as a display for fliers. This is purely inspired from Hussena's Magazine holder. Her post was just in time for my needs. Thanks a lot Hussena for your inputs. I made two holders right from scratch and it has double layers to make it sturdy and strong. Here are the pics

Here the flower is made of black jute and pink corrugated sheet with TH tattered florals.

Here the stars are cut out from a similar pp as the base. The top 3 are washis and a pink lace lines the sides of the holder.
Am hoping to make some more of these holders. Once you get the hang of it, it was pretty easy. Hope you liked it. So which one is your fav?

See you soon again.

Bird Cage-Explosion Box

Hello crafters....

First thanks a lot for taking part in my blog candy. I had fun!!!

Ok now onto my project, it an explosion box again but this time i have tried a bird cage in the centre. Look at it and do give me your views and suggestions.

I really loved how the bird cage turned out. It was pretty much a trial and error at start but was satisfied at the first go itself. Fitting the birds, branch and leaves inside after assembling the cage was a little tough but i had fun through and through. Loved the pearls inside too...  my daughter kept asking is it eggs mom? hahaha

And here the 'special moment' is an MDF. Since i had burnt my heat tool i painted with a mixture of white acrylic and fevicryl glitter to give it some shimmer. The corrugated flowers are TH tattered florals.

Thats it for now. Hope u liked it. Thanks for dropping by.
